New stuff New House

Now, I am hunting for stuff for my new house. The excitement in moving to a new house is equivalent to a car that you just bought. It's exciting and the feeling of owning something big like this is overwhelm and indescribable.

On Saturday, I went to Jln TAR just to drop and see the price of the carpets that being sell along the road. I went with Antymah. We went to the first two shops and it was an Islamic shop. I do not intend to buy the shaggy carpet that was intrend. The showed me a thinner carpet but it was soft. I liked that one and antymah suggested to buy underlayer to make it ticker. I agreed. The carpet was around 180++ and the underlayer was RM160. The second shop showed us a ticker carpet that was like in Tok's house. I liked this one even better. He could give me the cheapest RM650. Later before decide, I invited Antymah just to have a look other shops.

We entered the third shop, it was a Hindu shop, the could give me around RM650 for a better quality but I do not like the pattern. We went for the fouth shop. The third and the fourth shop actually was owned by the same owner. This is the shop that I was intended to go to Nilai. It was Carpet Raya. Finally I found it in KL. The best part I personally deal with the owner. He instructed his man to showed us the latest pattern and give us some tips. He advised us to take black carpet over red or blue that was common in some many houses. I took his advise. We managed to deal the best price for a good quality carpet. The brand of the carpet is Rajah. You want to know weather is good quality base on the sewing behind the carpet. If it being sewed closely together it is consider a good carpet and you can feel it is more firm between the thread. He also give me additional door mat of shaggy carpet. Save me money. Oh ya, the carpet actually cost RM800 but we managed to get for RM500.

We went home after that around 4 'clock to take Irfan to Shah Alam to order curtain in Nagoya, Alam Sentral. I sent Irfan to Bapak's house because I am sure he missed his grandson. Irfan was crying because he do not recognised them. But I just left him. Antymah said sampai hati. But I left him to people that I trust. Later, Antymah called father to ask about Irfan and he is happily watching tv and being spoiled by his grandmother and grandfather.

In Nagoya it was hell. There are so many people wanted to buy curtains too. Maybe for Raya that is in August. Quite early for curtain Raya. The service were so slow and Antymah complaint to the counter to instruct staff to entertain us. After half an hour, we were entertained. I wanted to make scallope with header curtain. Lastly, I had to cancelled my intention because the upah of the head cost RM160, so expensive. Later I decide to do the holes type of curtain but the problem was the sliding door width was not a standard size and we have to combine 3 poles to make a curtain. It was troublesome. Lastly, I only go for an ordinary curtain. In choosing the pattern is another story. All the pattern that we liked was not enough materials. Frustrated. Anyway, we managed to order the curtain. The cost of the curtain is RM300++. I could not escaped the gold colour that is the same like Tok's house.

The next day is Sunday, we went to Mydin Subang Jaya because according to Antymah there is a mirror Khat for frame shop. I was happy that I finally managed to get the exactly what I want that is a mirror that is carved by Ayat Kursi. The only problem is the price and the size. The big size that I want was RM800. It is out of my budget. I only budget around RM200 or the most that I willing to spend is RM300. Hasri bargain with the shop and suggested to change the frame to a cheaper one. We managed to get RM480. Hasri agreed to support me. I was happy with all the things that I bought for my new home.

Next week, I plan to go to Perfect Living 2011 expo in PWTC. I hoped Hasri would buy us bed set, InsyaAllah. If we could not find at the expo we have to go hunting for furnitures around Sri Kembangan or Balakong. It will be hectic.
